Shayne is the Maintenance Team Leader at Olive Estate Lifestyle Village supervising NVL’s largest commercial maintenance team.

What do you do at NVL?
I work in landscape maintenance mainly at Olive Estate Lifestyle Village (OELV) and supervising the team. 

Why did you decide to start a career in landscape maintenance?
It was an easy decision for me to become a qualified landscape gardener as I found plants very interesting.

What do you love about landscape maintenance?
I love anything around problem solving and care for plants, e.g. which soil types to use, how to attract or keep away insects. I also love seeing the finished results of our work and the smiles we get from the OELV residents at the end of a job.

What does a usual day look like for you?
My usual day is looking at a job and seeing a picture in my head before turning it into reality and making it a masterpiece.

Best thing about NVL?
Best thing about NVL are the people and the family atmosphere. Everyone cares about the work and has a great work ethic. Also, the management is great and easy to work for.
