NIGEL MONK
Managing Director, Sales and Design
National Certificate - Advanced Landscape Level 4
Nigel Monk is a horticulture and landscaping expert with more than 20 years experience in the industry. Since starting his own business in 2003, the company has quickly grown to become the largest privately-owned landscaping business in the Nelson Tasman region.
These days Nigel manages the Sales and Design department using his years of practical landscaping experience to provide clients with achievable and inspirational landscape designs.
Nigel also likes to keep his hands dirty and enjoys working on site with the NVL crews teaching the next generation of landscapers.
Jess Mills
BLA (Hons) – Bachelor Landscape Architecture
Jess joined NVL as a Landscape Architect in 2022. She relocated from Christchurch to make the most of the Nelson climate and the endless opportunities the region has to offer. Jess has experience both in the office, generating designs as well as in the field. Coming from Urban Paving, Jess has extensive product knowledge on hard and softscapes which she is excited to put into her designs here at NVL.
Jess completed her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture at Lincoln University, where she gained a passion for sustainable, residential and permaculture design. Jess will be working closely with Nigel to generate landscape plans for our clients. She is looking forward to working within the excellent team culture at NVL.

Jule Kley
Design Coordinator
Jule supports the NV Design team with the coordination of design enquiries, maintenance of the design schedule, and is the point of contact for our clients throughout the design process.
Jule specialises in publishing and design software and uses these skills to prepare design templates and collate the final design package ready for presentation to NV Design clients.
